Carol Wray Walter, 74, of Hampton, passed away peacefully at home on July 21,after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Carol was born in Hampton and remained a lifelong resident.
A few years later she met her husband, Timothy Walter; they married in and raised their family together in Hampton until his tragic passing in Carol was a thriving homemaker, a loving care provider for her family, and a proud and devoted mother and grandmother. She spent her life dedicated to her children and grandchildren, and experienced great joy in attending and participating in their various activities and supporting them in all of their academic, athletic and professional pursuits.
She will be remembered for her love of the outdoors and meticulous landscaping of her yard, and her special recipe for country hams for family to share during the holidays.
